Originally conceived as a guest house within Christian Louboutin’s estate in Melides, La Salvada was later transformed into a private suite for the Vermelho Hotel, located on the same grounds. Set slightly apart from the main residence, the villa unfolds around a serene terrace conceived as an open-air living room, paved with traditional Portuguese tiles and centered around a sculptural fireplace designed as a focal point of gathering. The architecture draws from vernacular Iberian references while embracing a poetic interplay of color and craft. Interiors feature built-in masonry seating, terracotta floors inset with glazed ceramic details, pastel-toned staircases edged with turquoise tiles, and richly textured textiles that echo the layered cultural influences of the region. Guest rooms are intimate and expressive, combining artisanal finishes with bespoke furnishings to create a space that feels both cinematic and deeply personal.
