Presented at EquipHotel 2024, La Pinède reimagines the spa bathroom as a serene retreat where Japanese refinement meets the softness of Mediterranean pine forests.

Designed as an open and immersive space, the project brings together exotic woods, handwoven textures, natural materials and custom-made pieces to create a calm, sensory atmosphere. The shower and basin face one another, allowing light and movement to flow through the room, while fabric panels inspired by Japanese shōji screens introduce a subtle sense of intimacy.

At the heart of the project, MARTHE’s attention to craftsmanship is expressed through bespoke furniture, artisanal ceramics, woven rugs and painted textile partitions evoking water and pine trees. Conceived as a complete universe, La Pinède reflects the studio’s holistic approach, where architecture, furniture, materials and visual identity come together in a timeless and poetic experience.
