For Maison&Objet, Rudy Guénaire imagines Suite 2046, an immersive installation questioning the future of hospitality through emotion, imperfection and storytelling.

Inspired by Wong Kar-wai’s 2046, the space unfolds like a hotel room suspended between nostalgia and futurism. Midnight-blue velvet curtains, portholes opening onto imaginary landscapes and carefully staged traces of human presence create a cinematic, slightly dreamlike atmosphere.

Rather than presenting an idealized vision of comfort, Rudy challenges the standardization of contemporary hotels. With humour and provocation, he defends places with texture, memory and sensual imperfection — interiors that disturb the senses just enough to become unforgettable.
